Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team of talented professionals in a part-time remote role. As a key member of our development team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient web and cloud applications using a range of technologies, including Django/Python, Node.js, and JavaScript. Key Responsibilities Design and develop cutting-edge web and cloud applications using Django/Python, Node.js, and JavaScript Assess and implement new technologies to align with business objectives, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of DevOps Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create, improve, and maintain both front-end and back-end frameworks, ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality Plan and implement REST APIs to interface with data sources, working with efficient data transfer and system interoperability Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and adhering to coding standards Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure smooth and efficient application delivery Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team What You'll Bring To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a strong foundation in full-stack development, with expertise in a range of technologies, including: Full-stack development with a focus on web and cloud applications Programming interface-driven backend development in Node.js and Django/Python JavaScript, including async/await, callbacks, and event-driven programming Front-end development with a focus on React, including components, states, and context Python and its backend framework, Django, including views, models, and migrations Database relations through models and data transfer Cloud computing platforms, including GCP, AWS, and Azure Test-driven development, continuous integration, and deployment Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we're looking for candidates with: Experience with AI and machine learning Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience with cloud-based services, such as AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Functions Strong understanding of security principles and best practices Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git About Our Company Culture At Walmart, we believe that our associates are our greatest asset.
