Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer – AI/ML and Broadcast Systems Specialist to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of broadcast systems and AI/ML solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and content partners, to deliver high-quality products and services that meet Apple's high standards. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of broadcast systems and AI/ML solutions Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and content partners, to deliver high-quality products and services Design, develop, and test software applications and systems for broadcast and video production Collaborate with engineers and technicians to integrate Apple technologies into SDI production workflows Provide technical support and troubleshooting for broadcast systems and equipment Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in the video, display, and broadcast fields Adhere to Apple's high production standards and codes of ethical conduct Work well under pressure, maintaining calm and composure in a fast-paced environment Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience as a broadcast, video, or office engineer in production environments (e.g., studios, facilities, broadcast trucks, or post-production facilities) Experience with various hardware and software systems, including Multidyne, AJA, Envision Switch, Barco E2, EVS, Christie and Dolby Projection, Clearcom Free Speak II, and RTS radio systems Knowledge of content creation and post-production workflows, including familiarity with common recording and playback formats and standards Working knowledge of fiber send and receive in 4K, 2SI, and 1080p workflows Experience with HDR production, including S-Log3, HLG, and PQ workflows Strong understanding of advanced system design, with the ability to create line drawings and documentation Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Experience integrating Apple technologies into SDI production workflows Working knowledge of film-style production or experience in a related field Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational weaknesses Strong vendor management and project management skills History of delivering excellent results in a fast-paced, challenging environment Ability to communicate with clarity in verbal and written communications Thrives in highly collaborative environments A professional demeanor to maintain high levels of confidentiality Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong software engineering skills, with experience in languages such as Python, Java, or C++ Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch Knowledge of broadcast systems and equipment, including video capture and display technology Understanding of IP infrastructure and network protocols Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining calm and composure in a fast-paced environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Apple, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
