Experienced Full Stack Pharmacy Technician – Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy Operations

Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Pharmacy Technician to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team in Boise, ID. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our patient's specialty medication orders. Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the computer system, including dosage calculations, tasking of instructions, and verification of payment Contact physician offices and insurance companies to ensure the accuracy of patient specialty medication orders Respond to patient calls to process and handle new patient medication requests and reorders, including verifying and re-verifying benefits Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless order processing and timely delivery of medications to patients Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and pharmacy operations Perform other related duties as assigned by management Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., pharmacy, healthcare administration, or a related field) Idaho Pharmacy Technician Permit (or confirmation of application before starting) Public Pharmacy Technician Certification expected within 2 years of hire At least 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy setting At least 6 months of experience working with Windows-based applications, such as Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications Ability to sit or stand for the duration of the shift (8-10 hours) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Basic math skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Preferred Qualifications Experience with pharmacy software and systems Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and laws Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Experience working in a mail-order pharmacy setting Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits We offer a range of career growth opportunities and learning benefits to help you develop your skills and advance your career.
