About the Role We're seeking experienced full stack distributed systems engineers to help develop and enhance our infrastructure as we strive to reach our ambitious goal of 500 million members worldwide. We value what you can do, from anywhere in the U.S. Focus in Data Platform Teams Data Access Stage The Data Access Stage team builds and operates a flexible query interface that works with data reflections to operate at sub-millisecond latencies while enabling Netflix microservices to more easily store, consume, and manage their data. This team holds a significant responsibility in empowering Netflix microservices to meet their increasingly growing and evolving data needs. Data Stage Foundation The Data Stage Foundation team serves as a platform for our own data platforms. Our shared framework and tooling enable arenaflex to rapidly enhance on providing cutting-edge data and analytics platforms to the rest of the organization without building customized platforms for each new framework. To do this, we create high-impact frameworks, control, and deployment systems that are calibrated for the needs of running our data platforms at scale; many of our tools and frameworks are written in Python, making this an excellent group to consider if you enjoy working in various languages. Big Data Figure Responsible for providing the cloud-native stage for distributed data processing at arenaflex. This team is crucial to batch data processing in Data Stage. It offers support for Flash, to ETL data into the Petabytes-scale data warehouse and access that data using Flash and Voila/TrinoDB. It also provides sub-second latency to a specific class of queries using Druid. We're seeking exceptional talent with experience in Flash, Presto/Trino, Druid, Iceberg, and distributed database frameworks overall. Jobs in this group include tackling very fascinating and challenging issues of working with data at scale, building features and performance enhancements, and working closely with open-source communities to shape the projects and make contributions. Big Data Arrangement Offers the stage for planning, organizing, and executing big data jobs and workflows in a self-serve way. These stages include basic services that have all ETL and ML responsibilities running on Big Data Frameworks at arenaflex. These fully distributed frameworks are continually evolving for Netflix scale with best-in-class technology. We're moving towards event-driven and intelligent orchestration which would require minimal client input/intervention.
