About the Role We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Distributed Systems Engineer to join our Data Platform team at arenaflex. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and deploying scalable and highly available distributed systems that power our global entertainment platform. You will work closely with our engineering teams to architect and implement cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business. About the Team The Data Platform team at arenaflex is responsible for building and maintaining the foundation of our data infrastructure. We are a small, agile team that is passionate about distributed systems and open-source technologies. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy scalable and highly available distributed systems that power our global entertainment platform. Collaborate with our engineering teams to architect and implement cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business. Work closely with our data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and workflows that support our business needs. Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code that meets our coding standards and best practices. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure that our codebase is maintainable, scalable, and secure. Contribute to the development of our data platform, including the design and implementation of new features and services. Collaborate with our data scientists to develop and deploy machine learning models that support our business needs. Participate in the development of our data governance and security policies to ensure that our data is secure and compliant with regulatory requirements. Essential Qualifications 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems or applications. Strong understanding of distributed systems, including architecture, design, and implementation. Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages. Knowledge of data storage systems, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing. Experience with data processing frameworks, including Apache Spark, Apache Flink, and Apache Beam. Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes. Strong understanding of security principles and best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption. Preferred Qualifications Experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of machine learning frameworks, including TensorFlow and PyTorch. Experience with data governance and security policies, including data classification, access control, and data encryption. Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous monitoring. Experience with cloud-native applications and serverless computing.
