About the Role We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our Remote Operations Analytics team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems that support our business operations. Your expertise will be critical in helping us to extract insights from complex data sets, identify trends and patterns, and inform strategic decisions that drive business growth and improvement. Key Responsibilities Locate and extract data from various sources to support business operations and analytics initiatives. Clean and curate datasets by identifying and addressing data quality issues, and collaborating with stakeholders to determine the best sources of data. Design and develop scalable data systems that support business operations and analytics initiatives, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines. Develop and maintain automated reporting and analytics tools that provide insights into business operations and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that meet those needs. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and analytics, and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team. Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge management systems that support the team's work and ensure knowledge transfer. Practice data governance and security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address data quality issues and ensure data accuracy and completeness. Develop and maintain automated testing and validation processes to ensure data quality and integrity. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics, and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team. What You Need to Succeed To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in data engineering and analytics, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics, with a focus on large-scale data systems and data pipelines. Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT patterns, with experience in designing and developing data warehouses and data lakes. Proficiency in Python, SAS, or other comparable programming languages, with experience in developing automated reporting and analytics tools. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data quality issues, and to collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address data quality issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets and identify trends and patterns. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Self-starter with a resilient, solution-minded approach to complex problems, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Consistently prioritizes data governance and security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data. Possesses a bachelor's degree, GED, or high school equivalency, and is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, or other applicable quantitative field. Previous experience in the airline industry, with a focus on data engineering and analytics.
