Our Data Choice Science + Mix (DDSI) association is at the forefront of supporting clients across various sectors, including Parks, Encounters, and Products, as well as Media. We are now seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team, working remotely on exciting projects and contributing to the development and sustainment of products for our Media business. About the Role As a Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for partnering with Choice Science Products, Choice Science, Client, and Innovation colleagues on various development and sustainment projects. Your primary focus will be on providing data pipeline and database engineering services, ensuring seamless data flow and analysis. This is a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive business value through data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and databases to support business intelligence and analytics Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and develop source-to-target planning Create and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other technologies Develop and implement data validation processes and data quality checks Design and implement database schema, tables, and views Deliver datasets as input to science models and visualizations Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and optimize performance Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support Proven expertise in using Python and SQL, preferably with Snowflake Experience working in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOP methodologies for code deployment and development Strong understanding of relational database design and functionality Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) Proficiency in cloud architecture and product offerings, preferably AWS Experience managing and delivering code using source control tools like GitLab/GitHub Familiarity with Docker and containerization What We Offer Competitive Compensation and Benefits: blithequark offers a competitive salary of $27/hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Opportunities for career growth and professional development Flexible remote work arrangements Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools Collaborative and dynamic work environment Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance Why Join blithequark?
