Job Overview Our organization is committed to enhancing the CRE sector through the strategic use of advanced technologies. We're eager to welcome a skilled engineer who can design and implement data ingestion models, ETL processes, and testing frameworks to ensure the integrity and accessibility of data. As a Remote Data Engineer II, you'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including research, product, and operations, to enhance analytical capabilities and streamline workflows. Key Responsibilities Design and implement data ingestion models, ETL processes, and testing frameworks to ensure the integrity and accessibility of data. Document data models and create Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams. Develop, maintain, and refine our existing data architecture. Construct and design database schemas tailored for financial and real estate datasets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance analytical capabilities and streamline workflows. Analyze extensive aggregated datasets encompassing demographic, geographic, and GIS/spatial data. Work collaboratively with both our local development team and offshore team members across various time zones. Ensure a working overlap of 3-4 hours with team members located on the US West Coast for effective communication and collaboration. Required Skills Proficiency in a scripting language, with a preference for Python. Competence in SQL and the capability to create complex queries for data retrieval and manipulation. A strong interest in data organization and familiarity with relational data structures. Knowledge of database design principles, optimization techniques, and maintenance practices. Experience with Amazon RDS, Redshift, and NoSQL technologies (e.g., MongoDB) is highly advantageous. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. 2-4 years of relevant experience in a scripting language, preferably Python. Proven experience in database management, specifically with MySQL, SQL, or PostgreSQL. A proactive approach to problem-solving, combined with excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. The ability to work independently within a fast-paced Agile environment while staying current with evolving cloud technologies and best practices.
