As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our data pipelines and information systems. You'll work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop scalable and efficient solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders. If you're passionate about data engineering, cloud computing, and big data, and you're looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we want to hear from you. **Key Responsibilities** As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for: * Designing, building, and maintaining our data pipelines and information systems using Scala, Python, and Flash * Developing ETL pipelines in Big Data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) * Implementing Lakehouse engineering, working with key partners to move towards a Lakehouse-driven data stage * Collaborating with Data Product Managers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to design, execute, and deliver effective data solutions * Maintaining detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance * Ensuring high functional proficiency and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligations to our clients (Data Science, Data Engineering teams) * Being a proactive member and advocate of agile/scrum practices to ensure safety and collaboration upgrades for your team * Being an issue solver; when given new challenges, you're expected to research and organize to find solutions * Seeking out answers to business problems and looking for opportunities to automate processes and streamline costs * Engaging with and understanding our clients, forming relationships that enable us to understand and focus on both innovative new offerings and steady platform upgrades **Required Education, Experience, Abilities, and Training** * Strong algorithmic thinking ability * Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets * Active involvement in deployed systems, such as Flash and PySpark to query and handle data * Strong key Scala as well as Python programming skills * Strong hands-on experience in Cloud advancements like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2) * Experience with at least one significant MPP or cloud database technology (Ideally Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query) * Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e. Wind current) and writing and maintaining Data Pipelines with Databricks * Experience in Data Modeling procedures and Data Warehousing standard approaches and practices * Familiarity with Scrum and Spry approaches * Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work with others and build consensus in a cross-functional team towards an optimal result **Required Education** * Four-year degree in Computer Science, Data Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience **What We Offer** At arenaflex, we're committed to providing our employees with a comprehensive benefits package that includes: * Competitive salary and bonus structure * Comprehensive health insurance and wellness programs * Generous paid time off and holidays * Opportunities for professional growth and development * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Access to cutting-edge technology and tools * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and experienced data engineer looking for a new challenge, we want to hear from you.
