The successful candidate will drive a culture of safety, efficiency, and growth by identifying statistical patterns and performance metrics to improve the Quality Control division. The Quality Control Standards and Guidelines Data Analyst Intern will assist in using data to create, present, and make recommendations for innovative ideas and projects, as well as perform basic analysis to alleviate the risk of resistance through process improvements. These improvements will support company objectives including keeping low costs, modernizing the operation, and improving compliance, thus giving an edge to arenaflex. **Responsibilities and Expectations** The responsibilities and expectations of the Quality Control Standards and Guidelines Data Analyst Intern may include, but are not limited to: * Perform and assist others in the Quality Control team in ideal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components. * Assist in creating and presenting results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders. * Assist in exploring ad-hoc requests arising due to emerging maintenance issues and provide logical answers to enable Senior Leadership to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities. * Present insights, patterns, and potential recommendations by using data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding. * Assist in creating and disseminating specific queries to pull and coordinate data from different sources, laying out the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements. * Identify irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and convey findings to the team. * Assess the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors * Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision * May perform other work responsibilities as directed by Group Leader. **Information, Skills, Work Style, and Abilities** * Involved ability to collect, organize, analyze large amounts of data with care and accuracy. * Ability to effectively listen, understand, and communicate ideas and present them in writing, verbally, or presentations delivered to discussions of varying audiences. * Ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics. * Should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office * Knowledge of data visualization tools and capabilities, like Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase is preferred. * Ability to grasp the issue, summarize and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning. * Willingness to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications is preferred * Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework is preferred * Willingness to work independently in a team-oriented support/group-based environment * Willingness to focus on responsibilities independently and be a self-motivated individual. * Past internship experience in a related field is preferred * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data appropriately. * Ability to plan and support large business initiatives. **What We Offer** * Free, unlimited space available travel benefits for yourself (assessments and expenses may apply on international travel) * Undergraduates will be provided with any necessary equipment, like a computer, for the internship * Flexible work environment for half of the time is normally available, but interns are expected to be on-site for Assistant-related events * 40 hours per week commitment to internship responsibilities and tasks **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for data analysis, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join arenaflex as a Summer 2024 intern.
