Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present food as needed, following approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control. Perform prep work, such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables, and weigh and measure designated ingredients. Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Store food in designated areas, following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures. Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils, and distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed. Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner, following outlined steps of service, and resolve customer concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory and cash control procedures, and all sanitation and safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned, and participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge. Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: Prior experience in food service, preferably in a similar role, with a strong understanding of food safety and handling procedures. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner. Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately count and handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system. Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies, with the ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations. Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: Prior experience as a barista or in a related role, with a strong understanding of coffee and beverage preparation. Food safety certification, such as ServSafe, with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Experience working in a similar food service environment, such as a café, restaurant, or catering company. Basic knowledge of food preparation and presentation, with the ability to follow recipes and instructions.
