Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Food Safety and Quality Assurance Leader to join our team at arenaflex. As a seasoned professional in the field, you will be responsible for characterizing and advancing a quality mindset across the entire organization by driving multiple FSQA teams in third-party and arenaflex-owned meat and dairy plants. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the development and implementation of effective FSQA systems and procedures, driving occurrence management and analysis, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all facilities. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement FSQA systems and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards Drive occurrence management and analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions Ensure regulatory compliance across all arenaflex-owned meat and dairy plants, including compliance with FDA, USDA, and local government regulations Lead FSQA teams across different departments, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective implementation of quality management systems Analyze reports to focus on compliance drives, utilizing business analysis to direct future state of the manufacturing program Collaborate with direct reports to provide accurate and timely reporting/escalation of issues and metrics to the QC VP and other manufacturing stakeholders Develop and implement business continuity and emergency management programs to ensure the continuity of operations in the event of a crisis Conduct internal audits, assessments, and reporting of the HO and Site FSQ Management Systems adherence and effectiveness Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a deep understanding of plant operations and regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, and local government regulations. You should have experience working with food processing systems, such as microbiological monitoring, CAPA, HACCP, FSIS, FSMS, and other essential programs. Experience working in food manufacturing facilities, preferably with USDA experience, is highly desirable. You should also have experience working with third-party certification bodies, suppliers, third-party service providers, and consulting groups. Essential Qualifications Working knowledge of plant operations and regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, and local government regulations Experience working with food processing systems, such as microbiological monitoring, CAPA, HACCP, FSIS, FSMS, and other essential programs Experience working in food manufacturing facilities, preferably with USDA experience Experience working with third-party certification bodies, suppliers, third-party service providers, and consulting groups Experience supporting and working with audits at all levels of the organization, including regulatory, GFSI, animal welfare, and other programs Experience with quality systems to drive continuous improvement, such as 6-sigma, first-time quality, and SPC Leadership experience and ability to work with all levels of the organization Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a related field, such as food science, microbiology, or quality management Certifications, such as HACCP, FSMS, or Six Sigma Black Belt Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with direct reports located throughout the US Experience with business continuity and emergency management programs Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
