Job Highlights: Start Date: Immediate openings available Location: Blue Bell, PA (with remote work options) Position: Fire/Life Safety Systems & Service Technician – Entry Level Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from $44,940 to $77,040 per year Company: Siemens, a global technology leader Job Summary: As a Fire/Life Safety Systems & Service Technician, you'll participate in the service, maintenance, installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of state-of-the-art fire alarm and sprinkler equipment. You'll work alongside experienced mentors, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to ensure seamless integration of new fire and life safety systems, test and inspect existing systems, and respond to customer needs. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the commissioning of new fire and life safety systems on construction sites, ensuring seamless integration Test and inspect existing fire and life safety systems to ensure compliance with regulations and standards Plan work with mentors, Lead Technicians, and Team Leaders to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Complete commissioning within planned timelines and submit accurate time and expense logs Work overtime when needed to meet customer demands and ensure system functionality Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards Collaborate with mentors, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively Requirements and Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and/or education) and user PC/software skill; proficient in Microsoft Office Understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management Ability to work in a variety of environments, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, and working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 18 months Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred 6+ months of experience installing commercial Fire/Life Safety equipment Ability to read and understand design and construction documents Skills and Competencies: To succeed as a Fire/Life Safety Systems & Service Technician at Siemens, you'll need: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical stamina to work in a variety of environments and conditions Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Siemens, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
