Experienced Financial Accounting Executive – Part Time Remote Opportunity for Data Entry and Financial Management at arenaflex

Job Summary In this critical role, you will lead teams performing financial reporting administration and oversight, enterprise-wide COSO business and technology controls testing, and other enterprise management and oversight capabilities. You will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and be responsible for purchasing and maintaining key broad policies that govern financial reporting risk for SEC and regulatory reporting. You will also be responsible for establishing annual plans-to-test, assessing the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, and addressing financial reporting risk in collaborations, meetings, and risk projects with Independent Risk Management. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and vision to the Enterprise Controls and Oversight Association Define a planned, purposeful start-to-finish control and testing program that meets various requirements, such as SOX and regulatory reporting, without being duplicative and provides a start-to-finish evaluation of the organization's financial reporting control environment Lead the internal control teams to understand, assess, and improve the design and operating effectiveness of entity-level, business, and information technology controls Ensure that the lines of business have relevant, sound, fact-based assessments of their financial controls environment to inform their decision-making processes Obtain best practices standardization and develop a framework that can be consistently implemented Recruit, retain, develop, and motivate a high-quality financial controls testing team Manage relationships with colleagues across the organization and ensure effective delivery of a full-service control and oversight model to both Hurls and functional areas Maintain a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency Manage communication of testing work with various constituents, including the Disclosure and Regulatory Reporting committees, Audit Committee, and external auditors Maintain a relationship with external auditors and assist with issues of independence, fees, coordination of controls evaluation, substantial audit work, and documentation Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: 4+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Auditing, Reporting, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 4+ years of executive experience Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Demonstrated knowledge of accounting, reporting, and internal controls requirements within a large, diversified U.S. financial service institution; strong understanding of current financial and regulatory requirements; experience implementing a COSO-based Sarbanes-Oxley internal control evaluation Experience dealing with banking, financial, and insurance regulators, internal and external auditors Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communications with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to make understanding and influence decisions Ability to effectively develop innovative solutions and drive groundbreaking change; strong analytical and decisive thinking skills combined with strategic business focus Highly collaborative with proven ability to lead large, complex, and diverse teams, and exceptional track record of delivering results Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong leadership and management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a remote environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
