Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team, responsible for managing bookkeeping capabilities related to sales and use tax assessment and permit compliance processes. As a key member of our Corporate Expense Division, you will work closely with Senior Duty Bookkeepers to ensure the completion of daily accounting and tax activities. This is a full-time, remote position, offering a competitive salary of $30-$35 per hour and the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home in the USA. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review pay and financial account statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting orders assigned to different accounts Apply sound accounting principles and develop or recommend accounting procedures and policies Train or assign work to accountants, accounting clerks, and other partners to participate in daily accounting activities Coordinate accounting matters with different departments, regions, and divisions Participate in financial reporting and analysis Direct Supervisor and Direct Reports This position typically reports to a Senior Manager and has no direct reports. As a Financial Accountant, you will work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve common goals. Travel Requirements Occasional overnight travel may be required, less than 10% of the time. As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the USA, with minimal travel requirements. Physical Requirements Most of the time will be spent sitting in a comfortable position, with regular opportunities to move about. Occasionally, there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years old or older Must be legally authorized to work in the US Preferred Qualifications 3 years of accounting experience preferred Proficient high-level knowledge and expertise using Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Experience with general ledger software like SAP or similar software Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks Solid written and verbal communication skills Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Minimum Education The knowledge, skills, and abilities are normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
