As a remote-friendly company, we offer the flexibility and autonomy to work from anywhere, while still being part of a dynamic and collaborative team. **Key Responsibilities** As an External Support Engineer at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include: * Providing technical support to content/external teams in regards to use of content tools * Creating reference materials and providing training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset * Solving and debugging possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users * Escalating more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, and working with production to track these issues in JIRA * Advocating for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams * Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality * Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion * Exemplifying reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions **Essential Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * A strong foundation in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience * Experience supporting a live service or tool environment * Familiarity with C# code and ability to read and understand it * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including working with external partners * A positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback * Excellent organization skills and self-motivation, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications will make you a strong candidate: * Experience with Unity 3D game and tool development * Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software * Experience with iOS and Android mobile development * 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment **Work Environment and Culture** As a remote-friendly company, we offer the flexibility to work from anywhere, while still being part of a dynamic and collaborative team.
