As an External Support Engineer at blithequark, you'll be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment that fosters growth, innovation, and excellence. **Key Responsibilities** As an External Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for: * Providing technical support to content/external teams in regards to use of content tools, ensuring seamless adoption and utilization of our toolset. * Creating reference materials and providing training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, empowering them to maximize their productivity and efficiency. * Solving and debugging possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users, minimizing downtime and ensuring a smooth experience. * Escalating more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, working closely with production to track these issues in JIRA and drive resolution. * Advocating for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, ensuring that their voices are heard and valued. * Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, driving innovation and excellence. * Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, fostering collaboration and driving results. * Exemplifying reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, setting a high standard for yourself and others. **Essential Skills and Abilities** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * The ability to read and understand C# code, with a solid grasp of programming fundamentals. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with external partners and stakeholders. * A positive attitude and the ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of growth and improvement. * Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously. * Self-motivation, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Education and Experience** We're looking for candidates with: * A Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in software development and engineering principles. * Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure. * Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a solid understanding of game development principles and best practices. * Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with a strong ability to track and manage issues effectively. * iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a solid understanding of mobile development principles and best practices. * 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a proven track record of excellence and innovation. **Position Type and Expected Hours of Work** Our core hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm CST, which means you should be available for meetings and collaborations during this time.
