Job Overview The Equipment Specialist position is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, are skilled in equipment installation and repair, and have excellent communication skills. As an Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for the physical installation and removal of on-premise equipment, including vending machines, coolers, coffee equipment, and restaurant fountain units, within an assigned area and in specific customer outlets. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all equipment is properly installed, maintained, and upgraded to company standards, providing our customers with a seamless and enjoyable experience. Key Responsibilities Install and remove on-premise equipment, including vending machines, coolers, coffee equipment, and restaurant fountain units, in accordance with company standards and procedures Maintain and upgrade on-premise equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity Perform "make ready" duties, including painting, cleaning, installation, refrigeration, graphic application, and maintaining par levels of inventory Set up on-premise equipment in St. Cloud and surrounding areas, as assigned Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and support Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of equipment installation and maintenance Operate a forklift and other equipment, as required, to perform job duties safely and efficiently Maintain accurate records and reports, including equipment installation, maintenance, and repair activities Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management Experience working with power tools and equipment, with a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude A valid Class D driver's license with a satisfactory MVR check Certification and ability to operate a forklift (company training provided) Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or training in a related field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or industrial technology) an asset Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience in equipment installation, maintenance, and repair, preferably in the beverage or food service industry Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques Experience with inventory management and control, including maintaining par levels and managing stockroom operations Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Technical skills: proficiency in equipment installation, maintenance, and repair, including electrical and mechanical systems Communication skills: excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management Problem-solving skills: strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Time management skills: ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Teamwork and collaboration: ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Viking Coca-Cola Bottling Company, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
