Job Overview We are looking for a bright and energetic physician with a passion for resident education and a strong background in emergency medicine. As an Emergency Medicine Core Faculty and Student Clerkship Director, you will be responsible for precepting medical and PA student rotations, collecting evaluations from faculty, and completing rotation evaluation forms. You will also attend EM residency didactic conferences with students, participate in EM residency application interviews, and serve as a core faculty member for the EM residency program. Our ideal candidate is board certified or board eligible in American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) and has successfully completed a fellowship or has experience in critical care, EMS, research, simulation, sports medicine, or ultrasound. Key Responsibilities Precept medical and PA student rotations and provide feedback on their performance Collect evaluations from faculty and complete rotation evaluation forms Attend EM residency didactic conferences with students and participate in EM residency application interviews Serve as a core faculty member for the EM residency program and contribute to the development of the curriculum Participate in academic and administrative activities, including faculty meetings and committee work Maintain a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient care Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: Board certification or eligibility in American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) Successful completion of a fellowship or experience in critical care, EMS, research, simulation, sports medicine, or ultrasound Strong passion for resident education and a commitment to academic excellence Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and students Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications are highly desirable: Experience in academic leadership and education Strong research background and publication record Experience in curriculum development and implementation Strong leadership and management skills Ability to speak multiple languages Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you must possess the following skills and competencies: Strong clinical skills : Ability to provide high-quality patient care and make sound medical decisions Excellent communication skills : Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams Leadership skills : Ability to lead and manage teams, and contribute to the development of the curriculum Academic skills : Ability to teach and educate students, and contribute to the academic mission of the institution Time management skills : Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At TeamHealth, we are committed to supporting the career growth and development of our physicians.
