Job Highlights Position: Electrical Engineer - Fully Remote Start Date: Immediate openings available Location: Remote Company: Workwarp Compensation: A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Key Responsibilities As an Electrical Engineer with Workwarp, your primary responsibilities will include: Performing detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations Conducting load calculations, detailed conduit routing, motor control center and switchgear design, and specification generation Providing field investigative and start-up support to ensure successful project implementation Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that electrical designs meet project requirements and are integrated with other systems Ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA 820, and NESC standards, as well as other relevant industry regulations Working with minimal supervision by a Senior Level Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality results and meet project deadlines Essential Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution A Professional Engineer (PE) license, which is required for this position 6 to 12 years of experience in Electrical Engineering for Mid-Level positions, or 10-15 years of experience for Senior Level positions Familiarity with power system applications, including calculation of available short circuit current, voltage drop, harmonic distortion, and power factor Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, as well as experience with AutoCAD and other relevant software Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients and collaborate with team members Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results Additional Skills and Qualifications While not required, the following skills and qualifications are preferred: Experience with industrial or large commercial backgrounds, which can be an asset in this role Familiarity with IEEE color book series, which can be beneficial for this position Experience with other relevant software and technologies, such as programming languages or data analysis tools Work Environment and Company Culture At Workwarp, we offer a flexible and supportive work environment that emphasizes work-life balance and professional growth.
