Your key responsibilities will include: * Leading a high-performing team to grow American Express revenue by establishing mutually beneficial, profitable, and long-lasting relationships with merchant accounts * Developing and implementing strategies to retain and drive incremental business, including growing revenue and improving share * Cultivating a culture of learning, strong challenger coaching skills, and consultative relationship management * Partnering with internal colleagues to seek out and develop partnership and marketing assets that will be relevant to your customer base * Embracing the fast-changing payments landscape and staying current with payment trends and economic/competitive indicators * Modeling key sales behaviors and skills, and balancing deal and skill coaching * Increasing merchant satisfaction and maximizing profits with an enterprise approach **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need to have: * A proven track record of leading high-performing teams and developing innovative solutions to meet the needs of diverse clients * Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of senior client managers * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders * A deep understanding of the payments landscape and the ability to stay current with payment trends and economic/competitive indicators * A strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions * A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, marketing, or finance **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be highly desirable: * A master's degree in a related field, such as business, marketing, or finance * Experience working in the payments industry, with a focus on merchant relationships and business development * Strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies * Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines **Skills and Competencies** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of senior client managers * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions * A deep understanding of the payments landscape and the ability to stay current with payment trends and economic/competitive indicators * Strong sales and marketing skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies * Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our colleagues.
