About the Role: Database Customer Engineer We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Database Customer Engineer to help our customers harness the power of cloud technology to drive business success. As a subject matter expert on blithequark's database portfolio, you will play a critical role in developing solution initiatives, engaging with customers to design and optimize their data management environment, and providing feedback to our product and engineering teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping our customers navigate the complexities of cloud technology and unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive database solutions that meet the unique needs of our customers, leveraging your expertise in cloud technology and data management. Engage with customers to understand their business requirements, design and optimize their data management environment, and provide expert guidance on database technologies and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and engineering, to develop and deliver tailored solutions that drive customer success and revenue growth. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in database technologies, including relational and NoSQL databases, and apply this knowledge to position the right database for each customer's application use case. Provide feedback and insights to our product and engineering teams, helping to shape the future of blithequark's database portfolio and ensure it meets the evolving needs of our customers. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field, such as computer science, information technology, or engineering. 10 years of experience in the enterprise software or cloud space, with a proven track record of success in database technologies and data management. Experience with one or more database technologies, such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and graph databases, with a deep understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, and applications. Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies, including positioning the right database for a customer's application use case, and a strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and performance optimization. Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications will be highly regarded: Advanced degree in a related field, such as a master's or Ph.D. in computer science, information technology, or engineering. Experience working with cloud-based database technologies, such as blithequark's database portfolio, and a strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, including infrastructure, platform, and software as a service (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Certifications in database technologies, such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MongoDB, and a strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proven ability to adapt to changing priorities, technologies, and customer needs. Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Technical expertise in database technologies, including relational and NoSQL databases, and a strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and performance optimization. Business acumen, with a deep understanding of the business implications of technical decisions and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
