As a Key Information Researcher in our team, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing cutting-edge data analysis and machine learning (ML) models that power our attractions and redefine the Disney experience. About the Role: Data Scientist for Disney Parks This remote opportunity lets you be part of the Disney family from the comfort of your own home, bringing your passion for customer service and love for Disney to the table. As a Data Scientist, you'll work closely with internal partners to drive the creation of elite guest experiences through intelligent and data-driven systems across Disney Encounters (DX). Reporting to Attractions Functional Innovation, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of Disney's attractions and guest interactions. Key Responsibilities Drive the development, implementation, and support of data analysis and ML models for our attractions, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Engage in research and collaborate with colleagues to identify business problems that can be innovatively solved using ML, and lead the development of ML strategies to address them. Lead and work with various specialists and data scientists to design, implement, and scale ML solutions that create enchanting experiences for our guests and push the boundaries of operational excellence. Champion innovative projects, proofs of concept, technology cash drives, and customer interactions that advance our AI platforms and drive business growth. Manage the functional support and maintenance of ML-related products and services delivered by the team, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement. Develop standard processes for daily operations and collaborate with specialized units to plan, design, and execute large-scale projects in the AI space. Productionize ML algorithms in predictive analytics, clustering, image recognition, NLP, anomaly detection, and more, evaluating their performance on real-world datasets. Collaborate with various teams to achieve goals in improving system performance, adhering to existing software practices that produce effective code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style consistency, and code reviews. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need: 2+ years of mastery in Python and predictive modeling experiences, such as TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, LightGBM, MXNet, etc. 2+ years of expert-level experience in cloud platforms like AWS and GCP. Proficiency in SDLC, QA cycles, and Object-Oriented Programming Design Patterns. Expert-level experience in structured and unstructured data (i.e., images, video, text, etc.) and SQL relational and non-relational databases. 2+ years of experience with Workflow or another data workflow management instrument. Experience with version control software, such as GitHub and GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong systems integration architecture skills, capable of transforming new tech into business solutions. A Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical background. Preferred Qualifications and Skills To take your application to the next level, consider having: Experience with Docker. Experience with control systems. Experience with Kubernetes. Experience with cloud solutions in GCP or another cloud platform. Experience with Atlassian Tools like Jira and Confluence. Experience with Agile development methodologies. Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous development. Experience with data visualization and data monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Plotly, Tableau). Experience with sound analysis. Experience with text analysis. A Ph.D. in Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical background.
