We are now seeking a highly skilled Data Investigator to join our team and contribute to the development of strategic analyses that inform business decisions. About the Role As a Data Investigator at blithequark, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting complex data to inform business strategies and drive subscriber growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Business Operations, and Business Strategy, to identify opportunities for improvement and develop actionable recommendations. Your expertise in data analysis, visualization, and storytelling will help us uncover key trends and insights that drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Translate business inquiries into SQL queries, including cohorting, calculations, filtering criteria, and aggregations Communicate complex trends and drivers to stakeholders with varying technical expertise, both through oral presentations and written reports Collaborate with other Investigation teams to analyze subscriber performance across content, engagement, and marketing areas Design and maintain operational dashboards in Tableau and Looker to track performance over time, facilitate exploratory analysis, and provide self-service tools for partners Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved subscriber retention and develop strategies to drive growth Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, or a related field Advanced analytical skills with the ability to apply business acumen to data analysis and recommendations Capacity for logical thinking, analysis, and interpretation of first- and third-party data Experience managing large datasets and interpreting data trends using multiple disparate data sources and tools Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau or Looker Strong analytical and technical skills to troubleshoot issues, investigate root causes, and develop solutions Proven experience with data reporting, data requirements, data strategy, and data rules (normalization, cleansing, and validation) Preferred Qualifications Experience in the streaming media industry, supporting direct-to-consumer or subscription-based products Background in presenting and contributing to data stories that are shared with key stakeholders Career Growth and Learning Benefits at blithequark At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
