Key Responsibilities Provide friendly support to and maintain positive associations with all internal and external customers. Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our organization. Handle data entry tasks, including tagging and registration, boarding, baggage service, reservations, and resolving related objections and issues. Manage cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets. Calculate charges, make change, and balance daily transactions. Check in baggage and freight, answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page clients, resolve issues or complaints, and assist on a case-by-case basis. Handle transactions required to load the aircraft in a timely, efficient way. Manage upset customers due to oversales, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage. Provide current and accurate admission, schedule, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general inquiries from customers and other airport visitors. Complete forms and reports as required by the organization. Write anomaly and complaint reports as necessary. Perform other work-related tasks as directed by management. Essential Qualifications Ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard with adequate speed to meet the needs of the job. Able to read reports, follow directions, learn, and understand tagging procedures, rules, and regulations. Capacity to work with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful conditions. Must be able to complete the Customer Service Specialist training program with an 80% or higher average and an evaluation period. Awareness of hazardous situations and ability to handle emergencies as they arise. Ability to work under tight time constraints to achieve quick turns of aircraft. Must maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Activities Worker Handbook and Work Arrangement. Ability to perform all job functions within a confined space. Effective verbal communication skills by phone, in-person, and on public address systems. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to convey information and instructions verbally or via radio equipment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher. Previous experience in a customer service or data entry role. Ability to speak a foreign language (desirable but not required).
