We're committed to creating a workplace culture that is inclusive, supportive, and empowering, where our employees can grow and thrive. **Job Responsibilities** As an Operations Agent – MSP, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to arenaflex clients, handling a variety of tasks, and working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your primary duties will include: * Providing friendly and courteous support to clients, responding to their inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner * Working in a helpful spirit to ensure the success of our organization * Handling client requests for assistance, including tagging and registration, boarding, baggage handling, reservations, and resolving related issues and complaints * Managing cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets * Calculating charges, making change, and balancing daily transactions * Inspecting baggage and freight, answering phone calls to provide information to guests, paging clients, resolving issues or complaints, and assisting on a case-by-case basis * Managing overbooked clients due to oversells, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage * Resolving such issues quickly and in accordance with established organization rules * Providing current and accurate information, schedules, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answering general questions from clients and other guests at the airport * Completing forms and reports as required by the organization * Writing anomaly and complaint reports as needed * Performing other work duties as directed by Representative's Chiefs **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * The ability to type and use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the needs of the job * The ability to understand reports, follow directions, learn and understand tagging techniques, rules, and guidelines * The ability to work with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful circumstances * The ability to complete the Client Service Specialist training program with an 80% or higher average and an assessment period * Knowledge of hazardous situations and the ability to handle crises as needed * The ability to work under close time constraints to achieve rapid turnarounds of aircraft * The ability to maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Activities Worker Handbook and Work Agreement * The ability to perform all job duties within a confined space * The ability to communicate verbally by phone, in person, and on public address systems effectively * Good written and oral communication skills * The ability to convey information and directions verbally or via radio equipment **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the airline industry * Knowledge of airline operations, including tagging and registration, baggage handling, and reservations * Familiarity with computerized retail location systems and other airline software * Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong communication and interpersonal skills **Education and Experience** * No formal education requirement * No experience requirement **Certifications and Licenses** * Must be able to obtain a SIDA identification and meet all local airport requirements * May be required by Station Initiative to obtain a Customs Seal and meet all requirements to work international flights **Physical Abilities** * Must be able to lift and move objects up to 70 pounds consistently and frequently lift or move loads of 40 to 50 pounds onto raised surfaces * Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, and stand consistently and for extended periods * Must be able to wear approved garb **Other Abilities** * Must maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with organization appearance standards as described in established rules * Must be a U.S. citizen or have approval to work in the U.S. as defined by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 * Must be at least 18 years old * Must be able to follow organization participation standards as described in established rules * Ability to work shift work and overtime * Unknown language abilities are desirable, but not required **Compensation and Benefits** * Competitive hourly pay rate, with the opportunity for future increases based on relevant collective bargaining agreement pay scale * Valuable opportunities for extra time and shift charges * Benefits you'll love: + Fly free of charge, as an honor, on any open seat on every Southwest flight (your qualified dependents as well) + arenaflex will assist with financing your Retirement Investment funds Plan with Organization commitments up to 9.3% of your qualified earnings + Potential for yearly Profit Sharing commitment in the arenaflex Retirement Reserve funds Plan - when arenaflex benefits, you profit + Cutthroat medical coverage for yourself and your qualified dependents (including pets) + arenaflex offers health plan inclusion choices that begin from the absolute first day of work.
