Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Representative to support our operations through various processes, including Billing Data Entry, Billing Data Acquisition, Manual Mail Returns, and Third-Party Denials. Primary Responsibilities Data entry of billing mnemonics and all required billing information that appears on imaged requisitions, including US postal address, medical codes, insurance carrier details, and more Follow procedural guidelines to enter information in our systems and answer patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner Navigate multiple computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, online applications, and mainframe applications, to perform data entry tasks and conduct basic research Utilize templates for letters and other correspondences to ensure consistency and accuracy in our communication Data entry, transfer, and entry of received data from Quest Diagnostics in required applications to start the billing cycle Research mail returns and update invoices with current information in the appropriate billing system, noting patient bills with actions taken Research denied bills due to patient not being covered on the date of service, errors with patient information, or insurance information provided in the claim/bill, and resolve for re-billing Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: 1 year of data entry experience, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail Customer service experience, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and clients Proficiency with computer, Windows PC, and web applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications Ability to work 40 hours/week during standard business operating hours, Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 4:30pm, with occasional overtime on weekends and holidays as needed Preferred qualifications include: Medical billing experience, with a strong understanding of medical or health insurance terminology Proven knowledge of medical or health insurance terminology, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting Proven solid Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to navigate and utilize complex spreadsheets and formulas Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
