Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting, developing, and maintaining our company's present set of engine-specific and custom tools that we use daily. Key Responsibilities Proactively identify inefficiencies and elaborate areas in our development technique across disciplines Maintain, extend, and aid present development tools Build and guide custom asset pipelines Grow our company's proprietary libraries, tools, and technologies across game engines and platforms Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless workflow and effective communication Develop and implement solutions to improve workflow efficiency and reduce pain points Provide support and training to team members on new tools and technologies Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for empowering others to do their best work. You should have experience with the overall tool lifecycle, including coming across issues, comparing potential answers, implementing tools, and evaluating their effectiveness. You should also be comfortable working with custom standalone tools and have experience growing gear that can be utilized by many game development disciplines. Technical Requirements Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, and Python Ability to work effectively in a self-directed environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications While not essential, experience with custom game engines, Unreal or Unity, and JavaScript and web tech would be highly desirable.
