About the Role: Data Entry and Accounting Expertise We're looking for a dynamic and driven professional to join our growing Accounting team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders, including Technical Accounting, Operational Accounting, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other business owners. Your expertise will drive key framework initiatives and improvements, ensuring seamless financial processes. Key Responsibilities Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to drive strategic framework initiatives and improvements Develop and design comprehensive accounting data requirements to facilitate the automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close schedule Monitor data quality of journal entries prepared via the Revenue Subledger and design Data Quality checks for identified use cases Work with Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve our daily Revenue Reconciliation process and manage reconciliation investigation Review new product designs and assess impact on existing or need for new accounting requirements Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue analysis, debt claims reconciliations, review journal entries, and audit close package expectations Participate in ad-hoc investigations and projects as assigned Essential Qualifications 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analysis, or business intelligence Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition required; knowledge of IFRS an asset Intermediate/advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of complex data; Python an asset Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing environments Ability to engage with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both internally and remotely Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Knowledge of accounting software and systems Excellent communication and collaboration skills Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing environments. You'll also need to be able to engage with various stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams. Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential, as is a strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
