About Our Team and the Role Our team is comprised of talented data engineers and scientists who collaborate to focus on search and the creation of next-generation relevance techniques. As a Data Engineer III, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation, working closely with cross-functional teams to tackle new problems and push technology forward. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and building scalable data ingestion and enrichment pipelines, automating and handling the life cycle of systems and platforms, and providing visibility into the health of our data platform. Key Responsibilities Design and build scalable data ingestion and enrichment pipelines (machine learning inference) infrastructure that powers batch and real-time data processing of billions of records Automate and handle the life cycle of systems and platforms that process our data Provide visibility into the health of our data platform (comprehensive view of data flow, resources usage, data lineage, etc.) Mentor teammates on algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and best practices Evolving maturity of our data quality and monitoring systems Implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews Work on Information Retrieval (search) using Elastic or Solr Familiarity with core text analytics tasks like classification, clustering, LDA, NER, and Relationship Extraction Knowledge of Knowledge Bases, Taxonomies, Graph Databases, and Open Data sets like Wikidata, Yago, DBPedia, etc. Graph Algorithms (shortest path, connected components, message passing, PageRank, triangle counting, etc.) Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: 3+ years of experience performing ETL (extraction, transform, loading) Master's in computer science or equivalent practical experience Expertise with programming languages: SQL, Python, Scala Experience working with data technologies that power analytics – Spark, Databricks Experience with any cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure) NoSQL and Document Oriented models (familiar with) Data quality testing (like Deequ) Experience in Devops (Jenkins / CloudFormation templates/ Azure pipelines) Visualization / dashboard tools like Tableau, PowerBL, and other reporting tools Essential Skills and Competencies In addition to the technical requirements, you should possess: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Passion for innovation and staying up-to-date with new technologies Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At LexisNexis, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters growth and development.
