Job Overview The Data Engineering team at arenaflex is responsible for partnering with various stakeholders to develop and sustain innovative projects, ad-hoc requests, prototyping, and research initiatives. Key Responsibilities Gather data requirements, create source-to-target mappings, and develop data validation scripts and reviews Design, develop, and monitor ETL/ELT data pipelines, database schema/tables/views, and deliver datasets as input to science models and representations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and sustain data engineering projects, including data acquisition, data validation, and data processing Utilize various technologies, such as SQL (Snowflake and PostgreSQL), Python, Docker, Gitlab, and Windstream, to deliver high-quality data engineering solutions Develop and maintain automated workflow schedulers, ensuring efficient data processing and delivery Apply expertise in social database design and functionality to optimize data systems and improve performance Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance Proven expertise in using Python and SQL (preferably with Snowflake) Experience with developing in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOP practices for code management/development Strong understanding of social database design and functionality Preferred Qualifications Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) Proficiency in cloud architecture and product offerings, ideally AWS Experience managing and deploying code using a source control system like GitLab/GitHub Experience using Docker Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
