You will assist with enabling data engineering solutions at American Airlines You will be part of a team that's growing and evolving This role is part of the Data Engineering and Analytics team within our Technology group Key Responsibilities In this role, you'll work closely with source data application teams and product owners to design, implement, and support analytics solutions that provide insights to make better decisions. You'll execute data migration and data engineering solutions using Azure products and services, such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub, and Azure Databricks, as well as traditional data warehouse tools. Work intimately with source data application teams and product owners to design, implement, and support analytics solutions Execute data migration and data engineering solutions using Azure products and services Perform various aspects associated with the development lifecycle, including design, cloud engineering, ingestion, deployment, data modeling, testing, CICD pipelines, performance tuning, and support Provide technical leadership and collaborate within a team environment, as well as work independently Be part of a DevOps team that fully owns and supports their product Implement batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies Drive improvement of coding standards, best practices, and security and compliance rules Coach others on technical and domain skills to create multi-functional teams Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in data engineering and analytics, as well as excellent technical and collaboration skills. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
