Job Summary As a Data Architect at OIT, you will play a critical role in advising, developing, and facilitating data architecture strategies that drive business success. You will work closely with OIT and agency partners to design and implement scalable data solutions that meet current and future needs. Your expertise will help establish a strong data-driven approach to decision-making, leveraging best-in-class technologies and innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities Consult as a resource on data strategy and architecture to OIT and agency partners, providing strategic direction and ideation to drive business outcomes. Drive innovations, collaborations, and insights that establish a strong data-driven approach to decision-making across the organization. Provide technology expertise by architecting, prototyping, researching, recommending, documenting, and assisting in implementing and evaluating technical solutions for business issues. Assess new data initiatives to determine compliance with the architecture, information security, and data standards, and coordinate review processes with project planners. Interface with vendor technology/solutions and involve OIT architecture throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements and Qualifications Minimum Qualifications A minimum of five (5) years of experience in data architecture (solution architecture), data management, and information classification at the enterprise level. Demonstrated experience designing solutions in modern data technology platforms, including Cloud (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Spark) based solutions. Experience in developing and operationalizing architectural and data designs, including data, technology, and infrastructure. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Data Modeling & Design, Data Security, Data Quality, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Document & Content Management, Metadata, Reference & Master Data, Data Governance, and API Led Connectivity. Experience with Erwin, Informatica, Snowflake, Tableau.
