About the Job and Group The Endorser Lifecycle Investigation group at arenaflex is dedicated to exploring, understanding, and taking action to moderate supporter churn across our growing ecosystem of web-based feature contributions. Our team's expertise lies in exploratory data analysis, modern reporting, data perception, and storytelling to deliver meaningful insights and provide recommendations to drive business direction. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in building positive relationships and partnering closely with various teams, including Finance, Business Operations, Business Strategy, and other Analysis groups, to ensure the business understands refined retention patterns and suggestions for key direction. Key Responsibilities Translate complex business questions into SQL, including precise cohorting, calculations, filtering criteria, and aggregations Communicate complex trends and churn drivers to a wide range of stakeholders with varying technical expertise, from functional groups to executive audiences, both in oral presentations and through written reports Engage with other Analysis groups to analyze retention performance of key business initiatives across content, engagement, and marketing areas Build and maintain operational dashboards in Tableau and Looker to grasp performance over time, enable effective exploratory analysis, and provide partners with self-serve tools Partner closely with business stakeholders (Product, Business Operations, Finance, Marketing, etc.) to identify and unlock opportunities for improved supporter retention Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Analysis, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, or a related field At least 3 years of Data Analysis experience Advanced analytical skills with the ability to apply business acumen to data analysis and recommendations Ability to think strategically, analyze and interpret first and third-party data Experience working with large datasets and interpreting data patterns using a variety of data sources and tools Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker Strong technical and problem-solving skills to handle issues, analyze the root cause, quickly devise potential solutions, detail the changes, and communicate business impact Evident experience in specifying data requirements, data architecture, data rules (normalization, cleansing, and validation) Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience in the streaming media industry or supporting a direct-to-consumer or subscription-based product Experience presenting and contributing to data stories that are communicated to key stakeholders Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and Looker Ability to think strategically and drive business growth through data-driven insights Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $98,000 to $131,300 per year in New York, NY, and $93,400 to $125,200 per year in Santa Monica, CA.
