Experienced Data Analyst for blithequark's Direct-to-Consumer Experience – Strategic Analysis and Insights for Disney+ Product, Marketing, and Content Curation

About the Role We're seeking a committed and entrepreneurial Data Analyst to join our Studio Research & Analytics team, supporting the Disney+ Product, Marketing, and Content Curation teams. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our direct-to-consumer experience, providing strategic analysis and insights to inform key business decisions. This is a hybrid role, with in-person collaboration from Monday to Thursday and remote work on Friday, offering the perfect blend of teamwork and flexibility. Key Responsibilities Assist with a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including data collection, training, extraction, and analysis to build summaries, tables, and report sections. Combine disparate data sets using SQL to support the daily operations of the Disney+ consumer experience monitoring program. Partner with different teams to conduct research, communicate project goals, business needs, and timelines to prioritize, innovate, and optimize our datasets. Build and maintain relationships with research counterparts in the team and from different divisions of the company, as well as external vendors. Analyze and prepare ongoing and ad-hoc reports using quantitative and qualitative data for various teams in the product marketing, engagement, and product strategy of Disney+ and the Disney Streaming Bundle. Manage assigned projects, implement quality assurance processes, and report obligations and status to supervisors to ensure completion within established timeframes. Collaborate with the team and analytics agencies within Snowflake and Databricks to drive key decision-making. Maintain up-to-date verbal and written understanding of data points and requirements, responding to critical data requests from internal clients. Support the presentation of findings based on research conducted and contribute to related business discussions. Stay at the forefront of SVOD and In-Home business trends amidst a continuously evolving landscape. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or a related discipline, with 3 years of applicable work experience, or a Master's Degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or a related discipline, with 1 year of applicable work experience. Proficiency with SQL, with the ability to extract and integrate disparate data sources. Ability to extract data and integrate with other data sources to create a rich, whole picture for the business. Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills. Ability to work rapidly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Outstanding communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to create clear and concise visual presentations. Strong multitasking abilities and the ability to work effectively in an environment of tight timeframes and constant change. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in data processing tools (e.g., SPSS, Q, MarketSight). Experience with survey tools (e.g., Decipher, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey). Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based, including Snowflake, Databricks, or similar. Familiarity with R, Python, SAS, STATA, or similar programming languages. Advanced degree in Market Research or Statistics. Quantitative research background, either supplier-side or client-side. Experience with reading survey data to extract actionable insights. Experience with subscription-based business models and strategy. The hiring range for this role is $35 to $45 per hour, with the base pay considering internal equity and varying depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
