You will handle various aspects of check-in and baggage handling, including working a automated retail location system, boarding, baggage claims, reservations, and resolving related issues and complaints. You will also be responsible for managing overages or deficiencies, inspecting baggage, and answering phone calls to provide information to guests, page clients, resolve issues or complaints, and assist on a case-by-case basis. **Key Responsibilities:** * Provide friendly support to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers * Work in a helpful spirit to ensure the success of our organization * Responsible for providing excellent customer service to individuals planning to travel, use baggage or cargo services, or make reservations by addressing their needs * Handle various aspects of check-in and baggage handling, including working a automated retail location system, boarding, baggage claims, reservations, and resolving related issues and complaints * Manage overages or deficiencies, inspect baggage, and answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page clients, resolve issues or complaints, and assist on a case-by-case basis * Handle cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets, calculate charges, make change, and balance daily transactions * Manage misused customers due to oversells, delayed or cancelled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, and resolve such issues quickly and within the rules laid out by the organization * Provide current and accurate flight information, schedules, reservations, flight departure/arrival data, and answer general questions from customers and other guests at the airport * Complete forms and reports as required by the organization * Write incident and complaint reports as needed * Perform other work duties as assigned by Supervisors **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree * Ability to type and use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the needs of the job * Ability to understand records, follow guidelines, learn and comprehend tagging techniques, rules, and regulations * Ability to work with others as part of a team, interact with the public, and work under stressful circumstances * Ability to complete the Customer Support Representative training program with an 80% or higher average and pass the assessment period * Knowledge of hazardous situations and ability to handle crises on a case-by-case basis * Ability to work under close time constraints to achieve fast turnaround of aircraft * Ability to maintain a well-groomed appearance in understanding the Ground Operations Representative Handbook and Work Instructions * Ability to perform all job duties within a confined space * Ability to communicate verbally by phone, face-to-face, and on public address systems * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Ability to convey information and instructions verbally or through radio equipment **Preferred Qualifications:** * Previous experience in customer service or a related field * Knowledge of airline operations and procedures * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Ability to maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy in a dynamic environment * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At arenaflex, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development.
