Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Services and Member Experience Specialist to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our front-line team, you will be responsible for delivering a fun and meaningful experience to our members and guests every visit. This includes greeting our members in a friendly manner, creating personal connections with them, ensuring problems are reported in a timely manner, organizing equipment, and keeping the club sparkling clean. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate a genuine, kind attitude when interacting with guests and members, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all. Greet guests and members with a smile, eye contact, and courteous tone, setting the tone for a great visit. Anticipate guest and member needs and respond accordingly by providing clear direction, accurate information, and support through our tools and technology. Be familiar with our membership plans, pricing, amenities, add-on options, and class formats, and be able to communicate these effectively to guests and members. Provide club tours following the Guest to Member Journey, sell memberships, help members upgrade, book personal training consultations (PTC), and sign members up for personal training. Consistently find ways to improve the guest and member experience by sharing member feedback with leadership and collaborating with the team to implement ideas. Execute daily responsibilities to blithequark's high standards, including following guest and member check-in processes and procedures, completing daily cleaning and hourly club walks, restocking merchandise, and processing sales. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A high school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred. 1-2 years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the fitness industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and members. A positive and friendly demeanor, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others to achieve common goals. Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience in sales or membership sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Knowledge of fitness equipment and programs, with the ability to provide guidance and support to guests and members. Certification in first aid or CPR, with the ability to respond to emergencies in a calm and professional manner. Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and members from diverse backgrounds.
