You will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance to help them achieve their goals. You will also be expected to maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensure a safe working and shopping environment, and work collaboratively with other associates and departments to achieve our goals. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance to help them achieve their goals * Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project * Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in their department * Handle basics in adjacent departments, including Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental * Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring it is clean, shop-able, and safe * Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions, or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty * Work safely as not to endanger themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers * Collaborate with Department Supervisor and other associates in their department as well as other departments to achieve our goals * Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales growth and promote our products and services **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required;
