About the Role In this critical role, you will be the primary point of contact for student borrowers, addressing their questions, providing detailed information, processing applications, and resolving any issues that may arise. As a Customer Service Representative, you will utilize standard technology such as telephones, email, and web browsers to navigate our systems and provide top-notch service to our customers. Key Responsibilities: Respond to incoming calls, chats, and outbound calls to address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Utilize pre-scripted responses to provide accurate and efficient information to customers, ensuring that all interactions are handled with empathy and understanding. Assist customers with filling out applications and submitting them electronically for processing, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including call logs, documentation, and related call details, to ensure seamless follow-up and issue resolution. Work effectively within established key performance indicators and metrics to ensure that customer service standards are consistently met or exceeded. Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently. Proficiency in typing, with a minimum speed of 35 words per minute. Experience working with personal computers and the Windows operating system. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks efficiently. Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience in a customer service or call center environment. Knowledge of contact center technology and software applications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
