Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers, ensuring that every shopping experience is positive, engaging, and memorable. Your key priorities will include greeting customers, assisting them with selecting merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. Key Responsibilities Provides customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring that every customer interaction is friendly, helpful, and respectful. Assists in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, contributing to a safe and secure shopping environment. Helps in the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transports merchandise from stockroom to sales floor, ensuring that all products are properly stored and displayed. Independently stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency. Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system, ensuring that all financial transactions are secure and accurate. Remains constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, reporting any incidents or concerns to management in a timely and professional manner. Performs all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances. Position Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that align with our company's values and goals. The following requirements are preferred: Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent, with the ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned. Experience: Prefer experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and working effectively in a team-based environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation. Availability: Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, demonstrating a commitment to supporting the needs of our customers and the success of our store.
