Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for: Providing excellent customer service by explaining policy coverage, claim status, and assisting with claim payments or other policy information to policyholders and/or interested third parties. Handling a high volume of phone calls, emails, and correspondence from policyholders, providers, and interested third parties. Processing policyholder requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Reviewing and maintaining new and revised procedures regarding policy information. Managing your time effectively to meet department standards for number of calls, average handle time, and productivity. Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion. Utilizing your excellent communication, written and oral, and organization skills to effectively interact with policyholders and internal stakeholders. Demonstrating mathematical abilities and accuracy in handling policy information. Working in a fast-paced environment and handling high-stress situations calmly and with tact and professionalism. Analyzing situations and making logical conclusions to resolve policyholder issues. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will need: Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. At least one year of office experience preferred; telecommunications experience a plus. Life and Health insurance background and knowledge of insurance operations desired. Excellent customer service background and good phone skills. Excellent communication, both written and oral, and organization skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Excellent alpha and number recognition skills. Demonstrated mathematical abilities. Basic PC skills and ability to learn new software applications. Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and with tact and professionalism. Strong decision-making skills with the ability to analyze situations and make logical conclusions. Reliable and predictable attendance required. Must be able to type at least 30WPM. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual employees (Eng/Span) are eligible for a pay differential. Experience working in a remote environment or with a high-volume customer service team.
