As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the face of our organization, influencing the member experience through your interactions and ensuring that our members receive the care and support they need. About the Role We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for handling customer inquiries and resolving issues via phone, web, or written correspondence. You'll engage with, counsel, and educate members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of blithequark plans, tools, and resources. This is a 24/7 customer support inbound call operation, and we're looking for candidates who can work any shift, including weekends and holidays. Key Responsibilities: Respond to questions and resolve issues based on calls/letters from members, providers, and plan sponsors. Escalate emergencies to the appropriate staff and track contacts with members, providers, and plan sponsors. Guide members through their plan benefits, blithequark policies, and procedures, as well as stay knowledgeable about resources to conform to regulatory guidelines. Create a personal connection with our members by understanding and engaging them to support their best health. Anticipate member needs and provide related information to address unasked questions. Utilize customer service skills to make financial decisions to resolve member issues. Explain member limitations according to contract and process claim references, new case handoffs, and other tasks. Educate providers on our self-service options and help with credentialing and re-credentialing issues. Handle broad document audit demands and aid in the preparation of complaint pattern reports. Determine clinical needs, relevant coverage policies, and check member plan eligibility. Perform review of member claim history to ensure accurate tracking of benefit maximums and coinsurance/deductible. Perform financial data support as needed and utilize relevant system tools and resources to generate quality letters and calculation sheets. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree Customer service experience in a transactional environment, such as a call center or retail store Ability to multitask to efficiently achieve responsibilities Understanding of medical terminology Capable oral and written communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook Ability to maintain accuracy and production standards Negotiation skills Technical skills Problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy What We Offer At blithequark, we're committed to taking care of our employees and our communities. Compensation The salary range for this position is $30-$41 per hour, depending on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
