Job Overview and Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Representative at Chewy, you'll be the primary point of contact for customers who reach out to us for assistance with a wide range of topics, from shopping for new pets to finding the perfect toys and treats. Your goal will be to provide personalized, empathetic, and effective support to every customer, every time. Key responsibilities will include: Engaging directly with customers via phone, email, or chat to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide product recommendations Researching and problem-solving to determine the best solutions for customers, thinking proactively, and setting follow-ups as needed to ensure issue resolution Utilizing active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness to build trust and rapport with customers and colleagues alike Collaborating with teammates, managers, and other stakeholders across the organization to contribute to a customer-centric culture of collaboration and continuous improvement Operating with a willingness to learn, sharing feedback, and being open-minded to growth and development opportunities Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner Ability to multi-task, navigate multiple systems and tools, and perform well in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Proficiency in using computers, including data entry, rapid navigation through systems and the internet, and basic software applications Ability to adapt to change, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a remote work environment High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred Must be able to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following preferred qualifications and skills will make you a more competitive candidate: Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with proficiency in virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and webcams Knowledge of pet care, pet nutrition, or a related field, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences in the pet industry Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software, helpdesk software, or other customer service platforms Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers who speak languages other than English Certifications or training in customer service, such as Customer Service Certification (CSC) or Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Chewy, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
