About the Role The Office of Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (OSGLI) Customer Service Center at arenaflex is responsible for handling all correspondence and phone calls to and from service members, veterans, and their families. As a Customer Service Representative in this department, you will play a vital role in providing information, answering inquiries, and resolving issues related to benefit coverage, policies, and services. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, while still being part of a dynamic and supportive team. Key Responsibilities Provide accurate and timely information to policyholders, parents, spouses, and beneficiaries regarding their insurance coverage and benefits Receive, evaluate, and respond to customer inquiries, which may require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures Utilize computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, providing information, referrals, routine transactions, and troubleshooting Answer product, account, policy, and service inquiries, resolve problems, and promote products and services by responding verbally and/or in writing Assess customer needs and suggest/promote alternative products or services as appropriate Handle most calls and transactions independently, escalating calls properly when necessary Demonstrate practical assimilation of arenaflex's Leadership Competencies, including a strong focus on customer satisfaction, teamwork, and continuous improvement Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: 1-3 years of directly related customer service experience, with well-developed transaction processing skills College degree or equivalent business/military experience preferred Strong people skills, with the ability to think like the customer and provide empathetic support A passion for delivering top-quality service and a proven track record of dependability, punctuality, and reliability Ability to learn and retain a significant amount of technical information in a relatively short period Receptivity to detailed performance feedback and a willingness to continuously improve and develop your skills Proficiency with a keyboard and window-based applications, including Internet, with excellent typing skills Proven self-motivation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Active listening skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a proven ability to work independently and manage your time effectively Familiarity with insurance products and services, including life insurance, annuities, and retirement-related services Knowledge of military culture and protocols, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by service members, veterans, and their families Career Growth and Development Opportunities At arenaflex, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills, with a range of training programs, career development opportunities, and leadership development initiatives.
