Job Overview We are seeking a full-time or part-time customer service representative to work in our remote call center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for taking orders, answering questions, handling complaints, and troubleshooting problems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Assist internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing timely and effective solutions to their inquiries and concerns. Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times, ensuring that their needs are met with a high level of satisfaction. Receive requests from multiple sources, including phone, fax, e-commerce, and in-person, and complete the necessary processes for equipment services. Coordinate home equipment service requests with our dispatch team to ensure prompt delivery and excellent customer service. Engage in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information and diffusing angry customers as needed. Provide customers with product and service information, ensuring that they have a clear understanding of our offerings and how they can meet their needs. Maintain current knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor sources for equipment, as well as verify medical necessity, insurance coverage, and physician orders for all insurance-assigned services. Follow policy and work instructions to ensure that our billing department has the correct paperwork to complete insurance claims. Strive to meet or exceed department metrics while providing excellent customer service, making sales or recommendations for products or services that may complement client needs as applicable. Perform other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating a flexible and adaptable approach to your work. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and have at least 6 months of relevant customer service experience. You will also need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, as well as a customer service orientation and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, we prefer candidates who have experience working in a fast-paced call center environment, with proficiency in computers and strong typing skills. You will also need to be able to work in a remote setting, with a reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace. Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues. A customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences and exceeding customer expectations.
