As a Customer Service Representative in our Payments and Digital Strategy team, you'll be part of a dynamic group that drives innovation and excellence in the financial services industry. About the Role This role is a key member of the Payments and Digital Strategy team within blithequark's Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our financial services, including transaction processing, member inquiries, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated Accounting standard ledger balancing Work on member cases/issues assigned and resolve them in a timely and professional manner Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other transactions, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff transactions Review, research, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products Log, research, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns Process Stop Pays and Check Batching Complete daily balancing and department closing Obtain information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests Research and verify incoming and outgoing fund transfer information Communicate with the vendor to process fund transfers Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws Deposit check returns, research member back checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers Complete daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A high school degree or GED Intermediate Excel and Word experience Strong customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks Excellent mathematical calculation and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Self-motivation with strong organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Previous customer/member service experience Previous banking or Credit Union experience Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) What You'll Gain At blithequark, we offer a range of benefits and perks that will enhance your personal and professional life.
