Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. This is an exciting opportunity to work from home in Nevada, within 75 miles of our Specialty location in Las Vegas, and be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care. Training and Schedule The training duration for this role is 4 weeks, during which time you will be required to attend training sessions from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST. Please note that this is a PTO blackout period. After completing the training, your schedule will be from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM PST. Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for: Providing overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits. Translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system. Communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues. Effectively interacting with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to ensure the timely processing of specialty medications and meeting financial and clinical expectations prior to fulfillment. Required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone. One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. One year of computer keyboarding experience, with skills and aptitude in this area. A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications While not required, we prefer candidates with: Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need superb communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine passion for providing compassionate care to patients and customers. You should be highly organized, able to multitask, and have excellent problem-solving skills.
