Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team as a VIP Helpline Agent. This role is not just about answering calls; it's about being the first point of contact for our patients in their time of need, offering empathy, understanding, and professional support. As a key member of our healthcare contact center, you will play a vital role in gathering and verifying demographic information, identifying patient needs, and ensuring that our seniors receive the care and attention they deserve. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming healthcare contact center calls and provide support to our community seniors via inbound calls. Gather and verify demographic information using standard computer software and systems. Apply problem-solving skills to identify immediate caller needs, including potential crisis calls, and route calls to the appropriate resource according to standard operating procedures. Document all call information according to approved operating procedures. Use verbal communication strategies to effectively elicit information, gain confidence from callers, and provide reassurance. Accurately identify callers' presenting concerns and document per protocol. Meet quality assurance requirements and other key performance metrics, including punctuality and attendance. Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess: A high school diploma or equivalent, coupled with 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare call center environment. Active listening, empathy, professionalism, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on first-call resolution and building value for the customer. Experience with Google Suite applications and familiarity with data entry and call documentation. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with medical terminology being a plus.
