Job Overview In this exciting and challenging role, you will be responsible for assisting arenaflex customers by phone, electronically, and in person with payments, inquiries, and service requests in a friendly and professional manner. Key Responsibilities Handle heavy phone traffic for departments citywide, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner Perform routine office duties, including providing phone, electronic, and face-to-face support to customers, directing internal and external customers, processing drop box payments, posting payments, and handling incoming and outgoing mail Assist with interdepartmental cash and reporting/tracking functions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Process internal and external customer requests, including utility account connects, disconnects, and transfers, billing, rate calculations, and payment arrangements Receive, maintain, and account for monies for utilities, providing payment receipts and ensuring compliance with arenaflex's internal cash handling policies Account for and balance cash drawer daily, prepare daily deposit for the bank, and ensure compliance with arenaflex's internal cash handling policies Process commercial account set-ups, validate Tax IDs, and explain available solid waste services, calculating associated costs and completing service contracts Generate and process solid waste work orders, maintain and file contracts in an organized manner, and process, log, and file water leak adjustment and leak check requests Assist with projects and perform back-office assignments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Assist peers with questions, errors, and escalated customer issues, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional customer service Serve as a back-up to Customer Service Rep II in their absence, demonstrating leadership and initiative Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A High School diploma or equivalent At least one year of customer service experience, preferably in a similar industry or environment Six months of cash handling experience, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail Any combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 and other software systems Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, as well as arenaflex's policies and procedures Intermediate-level skills in identifying moderate problems and implementing solutions Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on delivering timely and effective solutions to customer needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a safe and healthy manner, following established safety procedures and techniques Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
