Key Responsibilities Assist customers with questions and recommendations, providing personalized support and guidance to ensure a positive shopping experience Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all transactions Maintain security of cash and protect company assets, adhering to all safety and security protocols Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise, ensuring that all products are properly displayed and easily accessible to customers Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards, and maintain a clean and organized store environment Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and a commitment to learning Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred, providing a solid understanding of customer needs and expectations Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, maintaining a high level of physical fitness and endurance Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required, demonstrating a strong ability to build trust and rapport with customers Strong organizational and communication skills are required, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration with colleagues and management Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required, demonstrating a proactive and resourceful approach to resolving customer complaints and issues Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in the face of changing circumstances and priorities Knowledge of retail operations, including sales, customer service, and inventory management, providing a solid foundation for success in this role Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating a proactive and resourceful approach to resolving customer complaints and issues Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn and grow Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
